Siang woke up this morning coughing a bit very soon after the very familiar "barking" sound came out (time was around 9am or so). I knew immediately that its croup but i had hope it will calm down. 20mins later it did not and i rush siang down to see the GP (my company doctor).
He confirm its croup and advise that i bring siang immediately to Hospital. I had a very nasty arguement with the cashier as she was very slow in dispensing the medication and i told her that its urgent i need to let siang take the medication (anti biotics - the doctor actually advise i gave to siang while on way to hospital) as i need to rush siang to KKH! The doctor heard our argument and came out...he was not very friendly and proclaimed that perhaps he should called the ambulance for ME (knowing very well i need to go back and pick up siang Puff as he may need it - or shall i say he will need it).
Anyway, i rush home, quickly pack and went down with siang to take a Cab. We GOT in ONE. but very dismissed as i told the taxi driver i need to rush...he say "there is so much vehicle, how to rush". i Keep Quiet.
We reach KKH and as i paid off the fare. The taxi driver really toke his own sweet time and finding the change. i got angry and say "uncle, please hurry up, i need to rush (imagine, i am just at the entrance of the A&E)". The uncle say "hurry, then don't take CHANGE!". This remarks was enough to me rebarked back with "i got your car plate number down (yes, i really did its SCH 1030X - xxxx taxi company).
We were at KKH by 11am. To my relief the staff at the KKH A&E was very professional and the wait was not that long. The doctor that see siang recommend dexia (which i am familiar with) and they gave it to him immediately. The doctor told me that it will be good for siang to see the ENT Doctor as its a recurrence of croup. I told her that we have an appointment with the NEONAT on 2 July 09 (i will raised it to her). 2 hours later after taking the medication, Siang was well and we went home. The trip home this time was pleasant with a very nice uncle.
I started the salbutomol puff for 4 hourly - 2 puff / time and also Promethazine 5 (which is for runny nose, vomitting or allergy relief)
Siang is now sleeping (8pm). he is shacked out... so am i
what a day!

so sianz right keeps seeing our children fall sick. dash is down with flu again, and i am so sianz...hope siang and dash recover soon!
Btw, must complain about the taxi driver, and blacklist the clinic.

Actually the puzzle thing is siang went down with croup again (even the A&E doc that attend to siang is very worried about it - as i told her that scope has been done before). It attacked him so suddenly (caught totally unawared)
re abt the taxi driver and the clinic. i felt that... perhaps i will leave it as it is. Just take it that there are indeed ungracious people around.
But now is the H1N1 period. imagine if there is really someone who has the virus and went to the particualr clinic (still did not receive immediate attn) and toke that taxi that i board??? gess,.... i cannot imagine what would have happen to the patient. That itself raise gooshbump on me.

Hope both dash and siang recover fast :)
glad siang kor kor is recovering well. so scary. my jie jie also frighten the adult when her lips turned black, face pale and no response. so my parents rushed her to kkh and also have a bad encountered with an old man who 'cut' queue at taxi stand.
